About me

I have experience teaching in a world of different contexts: Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary, Community Based, Corrections, and Undergraduate.

I bring an authentic enthusiasm to explore how the world works with students and a love of making and building together. 

I see teaching as sharing a light. It isn’t my light, it is the light of the world. I am a conduit. Sharing this light creates a bond between teacher and student, and student and the world.

I am committed to equitable access to education. My classroom is a community defined by a climate of respect, collaboration, and curiosity. The foundation of my success is my relationship with students. I see the unique potential of each student, and believe in and encourage their distinct abilities. 

My teaching style and methods will evolve over time, in response to our evolving understanding of the many different ways that students learn. These changes will always be guided by my fundamental commitment to the dignity and limitless potential of each of my students.
